November Gardening Activities for the Cincinnati Area

November brings a plethora of tasks needing to be completed before we - Climate Zone 5/6 gardeners - can retreat for the season with a hot cuppa and a stack of seed catalogs.

Soon, the holidays will envelop us completely, but before they do, we must bundle up for a few more end-of-season chores. On those beautiful, crisp, sunny days, we keep plugging away at these final tasks to put the garden to bed for the winter.

The average high temperature is 54 degrees. The average daily low is 36. Cincinnati usually receives about 3 inches of rain and 2 inches of snow in November.

Daylight Saving Time ends early this month. Turn clocks back one hour - an extra hour for gardening?
