January Gardening Activities for the Cincinnati Area

January is a good time to look back on your gardening year and also to plan ahead. Plan to plant for winter interest. Review pictures from your garden throughout the year. Are there things you would like to change? Add to year 'round interest with flowers, color, fruit, textures, and scent. Make a list of things you would like to change, keep it handy. Add to it as needed. Check off the tasks once completed.

The average high temperature in January is 38 degrees. The average daily low is 23. Cincinnati usually receives about 2.6 inches of precipitation, with 7.2 inches of snow in January.
